大光院は名古屋・大須の赤門明王通にある曹洞宗の寺院です。境内にある明王殿はあらゆる不浄を清める「烏瑟沙摩明王（うすさまみょうおう）」を祀っており、東司（お手洗い）の仏様として、お通じの改善や女性特有の疾病の治癒、安産に霊験あらたかとされます。また、齢を重ねた後も下のお世話にならないといわれます。地元では「明王（みょうおん）さん」の名で親しまれています。
Daikoin is a Soto Zen temple located on Akamon Myo-o Street in Osu, Nagoya. The Myo-o Hall within the temple grounds enshrines Ususama Myo-o, a deity believed to purify all impurities. Often referred to as the toilet deity, Ususama Myo-o is said to offer blessings such as relieving constipation, supporting women’s health, and ensuring a safe and smooth childbirth.
